The photographs linked below are from an August 1997 Congressional visit to the Sseguka Primary School in Uganda. Madeleine Mader ('88) served on the Peace Corps staff in Uganda. The Congressional delegation was headed by Rep. Jim Kolbe (R-Az) and included Reps. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), Karen Thurman (D-Fl.), William Jefferson (D-La.), James Greenwood (R-Pa.), Mel Watt (D-N.C.), Steve Chabot (R-Oh.) and Scott Klug (R-Wis.).
